New Years Eve

New Year's Eve day is one of those days where there isn't much to do as far as work goes. Most every office is closed and for those of us that aren't, everyone seems to quietly slip out after Friday donuts.

For me, New Year's Eve night is one that I would rather spend curled up by the fire with Benjamin and Lulu while watching the ball drop in NYC while drinking wassail and munching on snacks. Then to bed for a great night sleep with the anticipation of who will be the first winner of pinch/punch in 2010.

This year we will be attending a get together with friends - playing games and eating food. I am making two new creations to take along: Olive Cheese Bread
and Pepperoni Bread. Benjamin does not appreciate the taste of olives as much as I do, hence the Pepperoni Bread!

One tradition that my family acquired from our journey overseas is the opening of the back door to let the old year out followed by the opening of the front door to let the new year in. As fabulously wonderful as 2009 has been, with countless blessings from God, I am looking forward to seeing what He has in store for us in 2010!
