What's On Your: Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Watch List!

Good Wednesday to you, beautiful people!  Today we are talking about all things television shows as I share what is on our watch lists!

Until last fall, we were Hulu/Netflix/Amazon only people.  We didn't have cable and it was awesome!  We could still see everything we would possibly want to... except for Baylor football games.  So the hubs decided to get a cable service so that he could cheer on his alma mater during football season.  We kept our Netflix and Amazon accounts but said goodbye to our dear friend Hulu as we could now record the shows that we watched on Hulu.  {Sans the Mindy Show but really, it had started to loose its appeal to me... sad face.}

CURRENT SERIES
This is currently my favorite show that we watch!  We store up multiple episodes on the TiVo so that we can watch them back to back without having to wait a whole week for a new episode!  :)  Raymond Reddington is a high profile criminal on the FBI watch list.  He voluntarily surrenders to the FBI with the demand to only work with Elizabeth Keen.  Their adventures take them on a whirlwind of bringing down underground terrorists while Elizabeth tries to discover her past and who Reddington is to her.  You can catch up on all of the previous seasons on Amazon!

We were crushed when we heard that Nashville was cancelled and now we are rejoicing that it will be back for one last season!!  Funny thing really:  I don't favor country music.  Not my favorite.  But I started watching this show during its first season thanks to Hulu.  Then one evening, Benjamin watched an episode with me and hijacked the series!  He and I both decided it's more of a nighttime soap opera that sucks you in!

This show is hilarious!  The humor is smart and clean.  The actors have amazing chemistry and the plots are comical.  They have done a fantastic job at keeping the lightheartedness and comic genius it started with!  You can catch all previous episodes on Hulu.

This is my guilty pleasure.  I'm not even sure why I started watching it but I did....and now I await for the summer season to start in a few weeks!

NETFLIX
The following shows are all available on Netflix.  They are all oldies, but are fantastically smart and witty!
This show is about a guy who is a human lie detector.  It follows Cal Lightman and his business as he is hired by clients to determine the truth in their situations.  It's fascinating!

Neil Caffery is a white collar criminal.  He finally gets caught by FBI agent Peter Burke and serves out the remainder of his prison sentence with an anklet as as CI to the White Collar Division in NY.    Using his skills as a con artist, art thief and counterfeiter Neil assists Peter in their cases.  This is basically a little more lighthearted but very similar to The Blacklist!  {Can you tell we have a type of show?!}

And then ya know, the regulars: Friends, Gilmore Girls and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are on the watchlist too.  #classics  And you best believe I'm counting down the days for the new Gilmore Girls episodes!  My mom and I used to watch them together so we might just have to pick that back up when they are released!

So, what is on your watchlist?  I'd love to know as we are finishing up our shows right and left!

You Scream, I Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

One of the items on our Summer Bucket List is ice cream truck!  I am proud to say that we are raising Winston right in the right way.  We hear the ice cream sirens and we immediately stop what we're doing, grab cash and run out the door screaming and waving our arms so that the truck will stop and dispense it's delicious treats to us.

There was this one time that the truck was on go-speed and didn't even stop at all.  So Benjamin jumped in the car and took off after it!  He caught it a few streets over and brought home a stock pile of Batman ice-creams.  Our favorite!
Duh nuh nuh nuh naaaaaa, Batman!!!

Even Lulu likes to get in on the sweet action!  There's not one member in the family {Truman included} that hasn't had a little taste of the creamy goodness!

A few Sundays ago our church had a picnic with inflatables and also what I consider a dream come true: our very own ice cream truck for the event!
Southern Ice Cream came and brought all of their Blue Bunny goodness along!  Not only did every kid line up for a tasty, cool treat so did the teenagers and adults!
So to sum it up.  We love ice cream.  All kinds.  Especially popsicles.  Ones that look like characters.  We will be eating them all summer.  And fall.  And winter.  And really, who are we kidding - in the spring too!  Because we are popsicle hoarders.

What is your favorite summer treat?

Kid's Behind the Blog: June Interview

1.  What do you like doing with Daddy?
Building Legos

2.  What was Daddy like as a little boy?
He was always playing with his piano when he was a baby.  He would go snap snappy.

3.  What's Daddy's favorite food?
Tortellini and iced tea

4.  What does your Daddy do at work?
He works on teeth.  On big teeth, and little teeth and gigantic teeth.

5.  What is your favorite memory of Daddy?
I like building in the garage and going to places like to San Antonio and going down the slide with water.

I loved these questions about the dads!  I'm happy to say that Winston answered the questions pretty much how I thought he would minus the whole Daddy playing the piano as a baby.  Baby Truman has one of those piano play mats so I am fairly certain that is where it came from since he is the only baby Winston has really spent a great deal of time around.  I think it's comical that tortellini and iced tea made the list.  Almost every week since we first got married we have eaten tortellini a least once a week.  #predictablydelicious Also, he nailed what Benjamin does at work.  Every evening Winston asks him if he worked on big teeth or little teeth that day.  Depending on if he worked only on kiddos or if he had adults in the chair the answer varies!  Last week they were talking about straightening teeth and Winston asked "Can you teach me to work on teeth too, Daddy?"  {heart melted}  I think it is the best thing that he loves, adores and looks up to Benjamin without any reservations.
Next month's questions are all about summmer and goes live on July 13th.  Click here for the list!
