Whew! I am glad that the weekend is here. This week has been a bit out of sorts with Truman not feeling the best and missing a day of school. We were pretty much hermits for most of the week, which I really didn't mind one bit. We had to get him feeling better because this weekend is one of his favorite weekends of the year: Monster Jam!! He already has his shirt picked out and is ready to go!
Last Sunday Benjamin hooked up our Wii. It has been so much fun to see Winston and Truman enjoy it as much as we do! Winston loves the bowling game and it has become our favorite thing to do in the evenings before books and bed.
My sweet Trumy has been under the weather. On Tuesday he woke up and asked for a "homey day" in lieu of going to school. I was only happy to oblige with the one caveat that we had to go for a quick trip to Wal-Mart. He agreed and after a lazy morning he chose one of his favorite outfits and off we went. As we passed the massive bear aisle he asked for me to take his picture. He doesn't ask for pictures often, but when it does it's my favorite thing!
About the time we were wrapping things up, Truman looked at me and said "I'm ready to find the checkout, if we can find it!" 😂 Find it we did and he was a fabulous helper sacking the groceries.
After lunch he requested to sleep in my bed, which is his favorite place to sleep. And let's be honest, I love it when I get to snuggle down with him too! Sleeping Truman is one of my favorite Trumans. 😍
Last Friday I made this for dinner and split it into two pans. We ate the first that night and then because we all liked it so well, I cooked the other pan on Tuesday! Any time I can find a new recipe that is easy, tasty and that all four family members like, I get excited! We have a new favorite to add into the rotation! I highly recommend you try it, especially if you like chicken, pasta, bacon, alfredo sauce and cheese. 😂 #yestoallofthem
This week was a MOPs week. I look forward to MOPs days. I get to sit at a table with beautiful souls and be encouraged through this crazy adventure called Motherhood. As I opened the cream cheeses for the bagels, one of them had a perfect heart on the top. When I find a heart out in the wild, I call them Unexpected Love Notes from God. A little affirmation that He's got the day and it's going to be a good one. They are my favorite things to find.
And this picture right here wins my favorite picture of the week! Winston and I were chatting about his day at school while in the background Truman is quietly sneaking some of Brother's goldfish for himself! 😂
Whatever you get up to this weekend I hope it brings you joy and rejuvenation!
Happy Weekend Friends!

Winston's expression in that last picture is just priceless. I love the little heart - a love note from God. Hope you have a good weekend! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some massive teddy bears! And that last picture is adorable! What are little brothers for, if not to steal goldfish? :)
