Friday Favorites: 1.7.2022

The first week of 2022 is coming to a close.  Fifty one weeks remain and out of that 352 days until Christmas! 😂

Hello 2022!

A poem for the New Year:

Twenty twenty two coming through!

May we conquer the things we want to do, be faithful to God and love big too.

May our days be guided by His hand as we pray for our family, our friends and our land.

Let's get it done, let's have some fun and celebrate at year's end when it's all done!

2021, You Were Fun But Now You're Done.

Twenty twenty one, you sure were fun.

We made memories that I'll cherish dear.  

You afforded me time with loved ones far and near.

We took adventures - some by plane, some by car.

Some miles away and some not far {from our couch}. 😂

The days held Legos, drawing, playing, laughter, tears, encouragement, reading, fort building, battling of fears.

We held onto what we know to be true: God's amazing Word and His unending love for me and you.

Wrapping up the latest three sixty five, I find myself grateful to be in this time, to be alive. 💙

Lunch Time This or That

I'm a sucker for books.  All books. List books, notebooks, this or that books. Yes, the ones that ask you introspective questions that you have to fill out.  I think they're interesting. I came across this book, 3000 Pick One Questions, at Target and it made its way into my cart. A few days ago during lunch I started at the beginning and asked the buddies a few of the this or thats. I thought I would know most of their answers but a few caught me by surprise!

Dancing or Singing?

WAC: Singing

TAC: Dancing

Video games or board games?

WAC and TAC: Video games

Snow cones or popsicles?

WAC and TAC: Popsicles

Butterflies or dragon flies?

WAC: Butterflies because they're so beautiful.

TAC: Butterflies because it's so cool when they come out of their cocoons.

Build a snowman or a sandcastle?

WAC and TAC: Sandcastles!

Cake or Cookies?

WAC: Chocolate chip cookies.

TAC: Double doozies. Wait I like both!

Foot massage or back massage?

TAC: Back massages!

WAC: I actually like it when you massage my forehead

Popcorn or Golfish?

WAC: Golfish

TAC: I think popcorn with M&M's for me!

Angry Birds or Candy Crush?

WAC & TAC: Angry birds

Donuts or muffins?

WAC: Definitely donuts! And chicken minis..... I love those things!

TAC: Donuts!

Summer or Winter?

WAC: Summer. I think spending time with my family.

TAC: Winter! I like it when Santa comes down our chimney.

S'mores or Brownies?

WAC: Brownies

TAC: Both

Drums or guitar?

TAC: Drums

WAC: Guitar

Purple or green grapes?

TAC: Cotton candy green grapes!

WAC: Oh, that's green.

Jelly beans or gummy bears?

WAC: Rainbow mini gummy bears with chocolate

TAC: Gummy worms!

What are some ways that you get to know about your kiddos?

Friday Favorites: Bath Edition!

We've done it.  We made the jump from pajama wearing moof-muffins to functioning members of society waking in time for school, work and other commitments! 😂

Which way to get to Covent Garden.  Do we take the 9 bus or the overground to the underground?  😳😂

To watch Lion King and then have dinner with Dad.

We have been out and about almost every day learning the lay of the land for our new area.

Winston was quite distraught the other day as he exclaimed "Not another grocery store!  All we do is go to grocery stores!"  😂

Let's start with last Friday.  I told Winston I was going to bring him lunch and then ended up surprising him by checking him out of school for a lunch date to his favorite place, McDonald's!

This boy loves him some McDonalds.  I'm fairly certain the combination of quality time and eating at Mickey D's is his love language. 😂

Happy Friday Friends!

 I am so glad that the weekend is right around the corner.  It's a long weekend for us as our schools are closed on Monday for President's Day!  Long weekends are my favorite!
