"Snow Day"

At the beginning of January I had scheduled today as a vacation day so that I could get some doctors appointments out of the way.  Thanks to the snow-pocolypse of 2014, I was able to spend my day at home with this little cheeser!
 We stayed in our jammies, enjoyed the fireplace, played with our toys, and did some Timmy Time watching with Lulu.  There was also napping.  Earlier in the day when the a snow-mushy hail fell from the sky, Winston and I did run around in the yard for about 3 minutes holding our hands out watching the flakes melt instantaneously.  Lulu watched from inside, nice and warm!
Winston loves hats.  LOVES them.  When Lulu dug this one out from under his bed today, he just had to have it on his head.  And there it stayed all through playing the puzzles, playing "where's Winston?" and couch snuggling time.  Its one of those little quirks that has been so fun to see develop!  {Although he may have inherited that from me!}

It was an unexpected delight to be able to spend the entire day with WAC!  Just love my little munchkin man!

Hello Fluffy, Cold Friend!

I get giddy anytime the word "snow" is used in a weather forecast.  I'm not sure what it is about snow, but if you have been a reader long, you will know that I absolutely love it and turn into a 4 year old every time it's on the ground.

The giddiness does not even wear off when I open the garage to check to see if I could get to work and see this:

Not leaving even if I wanted to...

Friday was spent working from home under that warmth of my electric blanket with Luly by my side.  Expect for outside breaks we took to run around and throw snowballs!

I just love this guy!  He puts up with everyone of my wild hairs and childlike tendencies.
And does it with love.
Lots and lots of love.

Sweet girl - She just loves waiting for snowballs to be thrown so she can run and find them.

Big snowy smiles!  Yup, even Luly is smiling!

Lulu just plows through the snow.  The way that she fearlessly runs at full speed towards her destination is admirable and quite humorous!

Apparently there is more snow in our forecast for this week as well.
Here comes the giddy!

Project 52: Week 5

What a strange week it's been with all of the crazy cold weather!  Hope your last week was fantastic and here's a the start of a fresh week!

Benjamin and I enjoying a snow day!  Troy Polamalu, of course!  Me just hanging with Flozel.  Big Ben.  BlueBarry and Silvy covered in snow!  Happy Groundhog's Day from me and Lulu!  Lulu loves digging in the snow.  On the Steelers end zone!  Baking some Auntie Anne's pretzels.

Until next week...

Project 52: Week 2

Week two was a week dominated by snow for us here in North Dallas!  I turn into a kid every time I am around snow.  I cannot help myself.  I just get giddy with excitement and start chunking snowballs!  Some of these may look familiar, but they are my favorites out of the over 120 that were taken!

Clockwise: Lulu and I enjoying the warmth of our new electric blanket!  It's her new favorite place to be in the evenings.  Homemade donuts.  Bailey Bear eating snow. Sweet Lulu.  The Beazleys.  My oil + water project.  Hubs and I in front of a snow covered Allen house.

Until next week...

I heart snow

I had heard rumblings that snow was a-comin' to North Dallas.  On Saturday I checked my Weather Channel app at least 6 times getting updates and affirmation that such rumblings were true.  That night I charged my camera battery.

I awoke to sounds of precipitation falling on the house only to find that it was merely rain.  "That's okay," I thought, "it's not supposed to snow until 2p anyways."  After church, we walked outside of the sanctuary only to see massive, white flakes dancing around in flurries outside of the windows!  I had to retrain myself from skipping to the car.  I did however throw a snowball at Benjamin, who ducked, causing the ball to land on a neighboring car.

Once we arrived at home, we quickly bundled up.  Including Lulu.
Benjamin went out first so that he could capture Lulu and I bounding across the snow in our exuberance!
I love my little snow puppy!
And my snow hubby! Who is a lover, not a fighter.

Samantha, Ben and Bailey came over to frolic in the snow.  It was Bailey's first time in the snow!

And since this is the last year we are in Dallas, which equates to the last year of living somewhere it snows, one last snap of the Crazy Cozads in front of our Allen house with snow.
Remember how earlier I said that Benjamin was a lover and not a fighter...  I take it back.

Boy put me in the snow.  Picked me up and dumped me in the snow.

Good thing I love snow!

There's snow days like snow days!

Today I woke up to a winter wonderland of snow! I shook Benjamin so that he too could get up to share in my excitement! He protested that when he was up at 5am there was nothing... however, now that it was 7am there was at least 2.5" on the ground!

The last time it snowed, Lulu was a little hesitant around it so we were surprised when she rushed out of the house in a flurry and starting bounding around in it! She loved trying to find the snow as it landed, hopping around like a bunny in the springtime.

Unfortunately, Benjamin had to make the trek into school - despite his efforts of trying to convince one of his patients that the weather was bad. I was able to work from home today which meant I kept running in and out playing with Lulu and snapping pictures. Over a 150 if you were curious! Benjamin was able to come home early and spent sometime with us outside as well.

Darkness has fallen on us and today our little family saw a total of about 6" of snow in which we played our hearts out in. Lulu is fast asleep, worn out from her day in the snow.

We have posted our favorite 20 or so pictures here.

{lulu bounding through the fluff!}

{happy to be in the snow}
