Happy Valentine's Day!
A day filled with reds, pinks, hearts and candy! A day to celebrate the love we have in our lives. I love my humans and celebrating the joy they bring to me. Above that this day reminds me to pause and reflect on the Greatest Love of all.
Our family verse for this month is Romans 5:8
"but God demonstrates his love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us."
What an incredible act of love. To give up something so precious for a group of yucky sinners who have free will who may or may not choose to love you back. Despite our messes, our imperfections, our dirt and our ugly, God loved us so immensely he provided a way, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, for us to know Him and love Him, to be redeemed by Him.
It's my prayer that the love that we give to our boys will be a reflection of the love that God has for them. That they will be drawn to His love and know His unconditional love.
I just love these tiny humans. They are comical and unique. They are full of energy and endless stories. They are the best cuddle muffins and have taught me so much about loving unconditionally. I am so thankful for them and for Benjamin. 💙
Both of the buddies picked out what what Valentine's they wanted to give to their classmates. Truman did airplanes and Winston picked tiny Pokemon characters. He's not really into Pokemon, he just likes Piccachu and anything that is small that he can play with is tops in his book!
Normally we opt for a night in with a Papa John's pizza for dinner. This year we are doing something a little different; we are taking the buddies to go see the Lego Movie 2!
However you decided to celebrate today, I hope that you took time to let your people know that they are loved.
Happy Valentine's Day!
I love the shirts you're wearing! Hope you have a fun night at the movie!
