Spaghetti Squares

Spaghetti Squares is one of my all time favorite meals to make and eat.  A big pan can feed a large group or split it into two smaller pans and feed two families!  It's a meal where left overs taste just as good as the first day if not better.  And it can win over the pickiest of eaters.

I often joke that I'm a one trick pony when it comes to Care Calendars or Meal Trains.  If I have been a part of a group bringing meals to you, then you most definitely have had a meal of Spaghetti Squares.  😂 I pick up a bag of salad, some garlic bread, add a dessert and voila! an easy yet delicious dinner!

As well as being super easy to make, this recipe can also be tailored to your preferences on type of spaghetti and sauce used, your favorite type of pepperoni to how much cheese you add on top.  No matter which way you do it, I promise it will be tasty!

Ingredients
1 box of angel hair spaghetti
1 egg
1/4 cup of milk
Your favorite type of spaghetti sauce
1 bag of Hormel pepperoni {you can use regular or turkey}
2 bags of shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat the oven to 350.
Cook the entire box of spaghetti according the instructions on the side of the box.
While that is cooking up, mix together the egg and the milk.
Once the spaghetti is done cooking, drain and then add the egg-milk mixture.  This acts as a glue to keep the noodles sticking together.  Then put the spaghetti into your pan of choice!  You can use a
9 x 13 pan or two square foil pans.
Next add as much {or as little} spaghetti sauce as you would like.  If you love saucy things, sauce it up!  Mix it through the spaghetti to make sure each bite has some goodness!
Then add your pepperonis!  Again, put as many or as few as you'd like.  I used to cover the entire surface in pepperonis.  Then I had kids.  😂  One of my littles likes the pepperonis and one of them doesn't.  I have started leaving a little strip without pepperonis and now he eats is no problem!  When I take this to a friend's house who also has kiddos, I leave a little plain too just in case they also have a pepperoni adverse kiddo.
Lastly, top with mozzarella cheese!!  Again, I cover the entire surface in cheese because well, cheese! #cheeseisthebeesknees
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.  Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Voila!  To serve cut into squares and accompany with salad and bread!

{When I take this as part of a Care Calendar, I take it unbaked with baking instructions.  This allows the flexibility to freeze it for later or to bake for dinner that same night!}

Now that I have shared this and if you know me in real life, I still stake my claim on this meal! 😂
