Truman is in Kindergarten!

I can't believe we are here.  Truman is heading to Kindergarten!  He is so ready to start the new school year in the same building as big brother!

Five!

What is your favorite color?

Orange.

What is your favorite food?

Spaghetti pepperoni thingy.

Me: Spaghetti Squares!

TAC: Yes!!

What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas because Santa gives me gifts! 

Proceeds to sing 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas!"

What is your favorite thing to do with Mom?

Sleep with her. Oh yeah, and shop!

What is your favorite thing to do with Dad?

I like to play games with him.  Don't Break the Ice is my favorite.

What is your favorite thing to do with Winston?

I know.  Snuggle with him! 

Me: I was going to say build forts with him.

TAC: Oh yeah! We've built some awesome forts!

What was your favorite thing you did this summer?

Oooo! Go to Hershey.  And Grave Digger Dungeon!

What are you most excited about this year in school?  

Playing on the play ground.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Remember the thing I said last year?  I want to be a Monster Truck driver!

What is your favorite book?

Sneaking Winston's Dog Mans and reading them.

What is your favorite snack or candy?

Chocolate.  And my favorite snack is Pirate's Booty!

What is your favorite toy or stuffed animal?

Hmmm. My very big stuffed shark and of course orange blankee and blue blankee.

Our school hosts a Kindergarten roundup on the same day as meet the teacher but in the mid-day so that the Kindy-babies can spend an hour getting to know their teachers and their new classmates.  We found out that Truman's teacher is a veteran Kindergarten teacher and a member of our church!  She is a wonderful combination of whimsy, love, encouragement and discipline that you want for your strong willed Kindergarten aged boy!  

The first morning of school, we all biked in Firecracker and settled the boys into their classes which we are across the hall from each other!  Winston assured us that in the days ahead he would make sure that Truman arrived at the right class in time. 😍

Truman: You are a funny, adorable, sweet little guy who is not easily swayed once your mind is made up.  You love your people big and stand up for what you know is true.  We pray that this year you will continue to grow in patience, knowledge and wisdom - not only of earthly things but also spiritual ones.  May your heart be drawn to God's goodness as you grow!
