Saturday Night Out!

Hello Dear Reader!
This weekend sure has gone by quickly; thank goodness Benjamin and I both have tomorrow off! YAY!
A few weeks ago we decided to head down to the Allen Americans ticket office and become season ticket holders! We received an awesome deal: 5 games, 4 free tickets, 8 BOGO tickets, 4 tickets to the Stars and a season ticket holder access card that gets us things like 20% off at the gift store, free appetizers at PF Changs and Brio, and more!
This Saturday was our first time to experience an Allen Americans game. This team feeds into the Dallas Stars. A few months ago they opened an event center just up the road that houses the team. For our first outing we invited Kody and Andrea to attend with us.
The evening was fantastic! We saw our friend Tom man the scoring buzzer, I saw a baby with a mullet and while Benjamin and I were getting a pretzel, we saw a man get arrested...and that's not even the game! :) The event center is laid out really well with the whole arena offering that close and personal feel. The team played very well out scoring the Kansas team 4-2!
I am proud to be an Americans fan and am looking forward to the next game!

Congratulations Ben & Samantha!

Last Friday Benjamin received a phone call. It was short but informative. It was Samantha calling to say that Ben had proposed to her on the bench where they had their first date! Benjamin and I are thrilled for the both of them. Sam has had a special place in my heart for years and years. I am thankful that God ordained their paths to cross! Over the years we have seen Samantha grow up to be a young woman in love and been witness to how Ben adores and takes care of her. They love being together: playing games together, going to school events together, growing in God together.
To Ben and Samantha: We love you forever and always! Benjamin and I hope and pray for their engagement to be as full and memorable as ours was. May God bless your months of planning and most importantly...don't forget to continue dating each other in the months to come. Congratulations!

Props to Noahy J

Every Christmas Eve the Johnson children gather around the tree to exchange gifts. This year was no different. It was a blessing for Noah to be at home this year as he is working 3 on/3 off shifts for Transocean.
I would like to give mad props to Noah for his Christmas gift giving this year. To Benjamin one of the gifts was Super Mario Wii. We have spent hours... HOURS... sitting on the couch with a Lulu in between, armed with Wiimotes, comfy in our spots, eyes on the TV playing Super Mario Wii. With Benjamin as Mario and I as Toad...the blue one, we take on the evil little Bowser minions and make our way closer to saving the Princess! Thanks to Noah (and the creators of SMW), we have had plenty of entertainment as well as healthy arguments about how I never grew up playing video games, why does Benjamin keep killing me, BUBBLE! - BUBBLE!, and sometimes I would like to the gold coin!
One of the gifts that Noah bestowed on me was...a SNUGGIE! Yes. Yes. I am a proud owner of a Snuggie! Most evenings that we are on the couch I am snuggled under a blanket with a LuBaby on my lap. I will admit that if Benjamin is not around and the phone rings, its quite a hassle to get out from under the blanket and find the phone. With the Snuggie....my arms are free, but warm! The funny thing is that Noah's Sweetie Salem made Noah a Snuggie for Christmas and gave ones to both Lulu and Jingle! Benjamin...he will not be caught doinganything a Snuggie. But he loves me regardless of the joy I get from wearing my Snuggie!

{Probably one of the funniest moments of Christmas 09}

{Noahy and I in our Snuggies. Love you brother!}

It's the middle of January!

Hello Dear Reader (Hi Lovie!)

Here we are. 13 days into January. The month is half over! This week Benjamin resumed classes and the work routine was thrown back into full swing. The evenings have been full of spending time with Benjamin and Lu-baby curled up on the couch playin

g hours of Mario on Wii. The Christmas decorations are still up because it has been freezing cold...too cold to get into the attic and get the boxes down - at least that's what we told ourselves last weekend! The time that we have been able to spend together in the evenings has been fabulous since the anticipation of classwork/house work in the evenings will surely take over our lives shortly.

Since I am still trying to get this blogging/photo sharing down, here is a snipet:

{Benjamin surprised me with a night at Gaylord Texan. Then we went to ICE with the Kriegers!}

{I pretty much loathe yard blow ups. Love Santa. Loathe blow ups.}
